One gas station manager says credit cards sucking store's profits
St. ALBANS -- Customers at Mr. Ed's Chevron in Saint Albans can no longer pay with a credit card when they buy gas.
The store at the corner of Kanawha Terrace and Walnut Street no longer accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover cards.
Store Manager Roger Randolph says the high credit card fees have cut into profits.
Randolph says they only make about a one cent profit off of each gallon, but for a $50 credit card they have to pay almost $1 in fees.
