How to Get a Credit Card Offer without Credit
Many people without credit history wonder how they can get a credit card offer. They think that without it, they will never be able to get a credit card or any type of credit - as the banks will turn them down because of lack of credit history.
It can be true in some cases, but don't think that you have no chance to get credit. If you have a steady income, you have chances to get a credit card offer.
Today many credit card companies like MasterCard or Visa provide the first time applicants with credit card offers. We all understand that everyone has to establish credit history somewhere. If you are employed and have a good income, feel free to select a bank and apply for a credit card. Don't rush! Applying for many cards at once is not a good idea. You will not increase your chances, visa versa; it will cause nothing but trouble.
My friend Bob got in trouble when he went to 7 banks and applied for credit cards. He thought that at least one bank out of 7 would give him credit, but, unfortunately, none of them did.
And there is a reason why. Every time you are rejected by the bank it appears on your credit report. That's why it will be harder for you to get a credit card in the future as potential creditors will think that you have lack of cash, therefore, you will have difficulties in paying back your debt.
If your attempts to get a credit card were not successful, go to your favorite department store and try to get a specific credit card. These credit cards are much easier to get than MasterCard or Visa and you have chances to get approved even if you have no credit history. After you get this credit card, start purchasing some useful things with a card and pay them off every month. After you've done it for several months, you can apply for MasterCard or Visa once again.
You can also apply for a secured credit card. Secured credit card is a great option for those who want to establish their credit history. It is also safe to get secured credit card as the first one as secured cards are limited to the amount of money you deposit to the credit card company.
My neighbor Missy established a good credit history with secured credit card. She paid all bills on time and now her credit report is almost perfect.
It doesn't matter what kind of card you have chosen to establish your credit history, it is absolutely essential for you to make all the payments on time and not to miss them!
As long as you are doing everything right: do not carry a large balance from card to card, consistently pay your bills on time, you will establish a good credit history and will have all chances to get approved to the card you want to have.
